The “run 50k, do 1000 lunges/squats/abs, track calories every day” challenges were getting repetitive. Gonna try some new ones.

Some pretty radical concepts in this book. Anybody read it? I haven’t yet, but I’m putting it on my list.
Final August TDP challenge results — all done.

Hood to Coast is a relay race from Hood River, Oregon to Seaside, Oregon (that’s on the beach, thus the ‘coast’ part of the race). It’s the longest relay race in the world and takes place in late August each year. The legs are split up in roughly 4-6 mile sections.
I’m thinking about participating next year. Anyone in the Portland (metro) area thinking the same thing?
Oh, here’s the link if y’all want to give it a look see. http://www.hoodtocoast.com/
Well last week went well, Im sounding surprised here lol
I lost 4lb and I did walking every day. Food intake was good, made a lovely quorn beef style strog, and a quorn spag bol, went down well with Sally to.
Been busy this week as we got our move date which is the 7th sep, we have done nothing so arrgghh. I have been up and down the stairs more times today than I usually do in a week.
So hopefully I will have lost some more weight, and my stamina will have gone up.
thank you to everyone who is cheering me on,
)
Excellent Kerry! Keep up the good work, you’re already seeing the rewards.
Awesome! Glad to see you are getting positive results. Yay.
That’s brilliant, you’re right on target. Running around with your upcoming move will burn up lots of calories.
I’ve been a bad blogger/eater/exerciser for the past three weeks. I hit my goal in the days before GCLS and I rewarded myself richly. I intended to just take a week off to slack and eat and enjoy myself. Now three weeks later I am struggling to get back on the wagon. Thankfully I’ve only gain about 1.5 lbs so that tells me a few of my good habits stuck around however, my exercise routine did not. My goal from here on out it to really firm up. I feel pretty good so I am not looking to loose much more weight but I want to tone muscle so that I look good too
It’s vain I know, but I want some muscle definition.
I am going to start by getting back up to the level I was before I took my three week vacation. I want to lift three times a week and do Yoga three times a week. I want my Yoga to get up to 5 minutes of planks and 5 minutes of V-sits. Once I get there I’ll start peppering some exercises to target specific muscles.
Rachel You are still doing better than I have done so keep up the good work mate.
A little break never hurt anyone. BTW I still am not smoking as for the rest… yes I know exercise!
Excellent Watty! You are really trucking along here. I lost my momentum, and seeing your progress is motivating me to get back at it.
watty, did you get the license to go with the new car?
Ok, I have been lurking about in here for a while now, and I have finally bitten the bullet. The food has been bought for the week, the meals have been planned and I start a small fitness regime on Monday. I still can’t do an awful lot due to the operation, still in a lot of pain, and I swear I can feel that liver growing back lol
But my goals are to lose 2 stone by christmas, and to have a regular activity in each day.
To start with I will be walking for 30 minutes each morning, and I have finally convinced work, that I am ok to use the stairs now and not the lift, I know its not much but I do work on the 3rd floor at work so it has to count a bit
) And small again but I shall park at the other side of the car park, not by the door.
I know compared to what you all are doing it seems really bad, but I promise to up it when I can.
So wish me luck please I have a feeling I am going to need it.
kerry
Kerry I wish you the best of luck, and something more — the support of the Healthy VLR. 2 stones is certainly ambitious but very achievable! Breaking down into smaller targets, it’s 19 weeks till Christmas so it’s 1.5 pounds a week. I’ll be behind you all the way and please post your progress.
Hey Kerry! I’m so glad to see you here. Best of luck with your goals. Slow and steady wins the race, don’t try and over do it. Build up starting with whatever you’re able to do now. We’ll be here the whole way to support in any way we can.
Best of wishes to you Kerry, enjoy the fresh air.

I want to go, except I’m too far away. Sigh.

Maybe you can give me some training tips anyway?
